UREA GANULAR &PRILLED

Urea (CO(NH₂)₂) is the most commonly used nitrogen fertilizer in agriculture. It is produced in two different forms:

1. Granular Urea

  • Larger and harder particles.
  • Slower dissolution rate, providing long-term nitrogen release in agricultural applications.
  • More suitable for mechanical fertilizer spreaders.
  • Also preferred in industrial applications.

2. Prilled Urea

  • Smaller, round, and softer granules.
  • Dissolves quickly, making it ideal for liquid fertilizer production and industrial use.
  • Suitable for small-scale agricultural applications.
  • Widely used in the chemical industry.

Both types contain 46% nitrogen and are essential for increasing crop productivity. However, granular urea is more durable, while prilled urea dissolves faster.
